Fronted by former Buzzov-en man ‘Dixie’ Dave Collins this preposterously named three-piece from North Carolina are, despite the moniker, dangerously close to being the very last thing you’d like to hear while zooted out of your mind. Coupling down-tuned Eyehategod-a-like, swampy, organ-liquefying bass with harsher than harsh, Eyehategod-a-like, larynx damaging AC-DC vocals, Weedeater may just have expanded my recently played list on iTunes to two bands. Seriously if you’re a fan of the aforementioned EHG, COC, Noothgrush or maybe even Down then you must, must, buy this, it f—king kills it. Skip the ganja though. It’s bad for you.
